Karen Alexander is a long term cancer survivor. She was diagnosed in 2006 with advanced terminal cancer and given no hope of survival long term.

She walked away from a medical system that couldn’t offer any solutions, and became a recluse for about nine years. She finally realised that hope was something she had to give herself.

Changing her belief and perspective on how she viewed cancer – she realised – that just because medical science didn’t have the answers didn’t mean the answers couldn’t be found elsewhere. This change of mindset was the biggest turning point in her life.

She is alive and thriving outside the medical system, and has taken her time to tell her story.

An inspirational read, I loved it. Hard to put down so I keep it in the kitchen for all of Karen’s little recipe tips.
I appreciate the way Karen writes her truth. Never the victim. This is about surviving cancer and the ‘system’, I hope you continue to be a pain in their bums Karen. Fascinating facts. You have remained steadfast in your approach to life and living, and you are a beauty for sharing this private part in your life.
Peace and Light to you and yours.
